Colocation centre antivirus upgraded to Officescan 10.5

Mark Andrews has now completed upgrade work on the colocation centre anti-virus server, bringing us up to Officescan 10.5. Wanstor staff who need more information about deploying an antivirus package to a client should check out this public document at the Trend Micro site. The Trend Micro Officescan functionality is available to those clients using the xSP Suite agreement, and only by arrangement in other cases.
Among the various innovations in 10.5 are:
-Optimised for desktop virtualisation
- Recognition of whether an agent is operating in a physical or virtual environment, to improve security.
- Lowering of performance impact.
- Increased throughput by whitelisting previously scanned files that have reliable contentFile Reputation.
If you have a difficult problem to solve, the answer could be far closer to hand (and more accurate) than Wikipedia...
